  • Why you’re passionate about the Nokesville Foundation: One day I was walking through Nokesville on my way to Bristow Manor golf course and I saw a homeless man, so I stopped to see if I could help. His name was Sam, he was homeless and he told me he was sad because his golf swing was atrocious. I said come with me son and we went to Bristow Manor, I let him borrow my old clubs and we set out to the driving range and by god was his swing atrocious. His elbows were looser than a belt buckle after Thanksgiving dinner. I gave him some quick tips to tamper his slice and we set out on the course. This man may have been homeless and his swing atrocious but golly gee he could sting like a bee. His short game was nothing short of magical and he putted like Brad Faxon at a club championship right before he screws over the members. This kept him in the match and after being down a few holes he started yelling Press incessantly. It became a rallying cry for the man and turned the golf course into a battle zone marching to the drumming beat of Press, Press, Press, Press. Soon the tides had turned and he took me for all I was worth. He thanked me for my donation and said he was going to use the money to start a company and give back to the community. I wished him luck on his endeavors and promised to help him should I see him again, then he frolicked back into the woods towards Nokesville for which he came. Many years went by and that man is now owner of Press Technologies and founder of the Nokesville Foundation.
